Investigation of deformation and element diffusion in joint interface of mild carbon steel and HCrWCI welded by friction welding

چکیده

In this study, continuous drive friction welding process is selected for joint dissimilar high chromium white cast iron and mild carbon steeel. The microstructure, presence diffusion of elements, deformation in interface weld metal were analyzed by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), optical (OM), energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS), elemental mapping X-Ray diffraction (XRD). Elemental analysis was applied to the fractured surface after tensile test. rotational speed from parameters had a significant impact on quality welded joint. Due element at interface, carbides consisting Cr7C3 Cr23C6 occurred. Carbon, which dominant process, decisive emergence carbide layer.
